How do I get from Kos in Marmari?

You can get in Marmari either by bus or a private transfer/taxi. The bus station in Kos Town is easily accessible on foot and costs around 2-3€. The second option might be more expensive, but also quite faster, especially during high season.

Do taxis in Kos take card?

According to they law, taxis are obligated to provide a POS and accept bank cards. However not all taxis follow that rule, so make sure to ask them in advance.


Are there taxis outside Kos Airport?  

Usually, there is a line of taxis waiting just outside of the airport, however it is advisable to book one in advance in case of a long waiting line. 


Is there a bus in Kos airport?

If you're not renting a car, the best way to get to anywhere in Kos from the airport is by bus. The schedule offers semi-often rides from the airport to Kos Town and the areas of Mastichari, Kefalos and Kardamena. You can check it out here: http://www.ktel-kos.gr/site_en/. Unfortunately the local bus schedule does not yet offer an airport-to-Marmari route, however you could ride the bus until a nearby area and once you're there, get a private transfer to your hotel.

The total distance between the airport and the main port of Kos is about 24km and takes around 30 to 40 minutes to get there.

Is there only one ferry port in Kos?

There are 3 ferry ports in total in Kos Island. The main one is located in Kos Town next to the Neratzia Castle. There are also 2 smaller ports in the villages Mastichari and Kardamena, that offer regular routes to the nearby islands.
